Here’s our master list of skills that can be ranked up. Most skills are rolled, and can often be combined with other relevant skills to get a higher bonus.
For example, if I’ve got one rank in Swords and another rank in One-Handed Melee Weapons I can add them together to get +2 on my roll.
Some skills are always used this way – in concert with another primary skill being used.
A few skills just have static effects that don’t have a lot to do with rolling at all – such as Linguistics, which offers you a new language for every skill rank.
One-Handed Firearms – pistols
Two-Handed Firearms – bombard, blunderbuss, musket

Dual-Wield melee/Firearm* – not rolled, but rather a static modifier on weapon rolls
Siege Weapons – cannon, mortar
Thrown Weapons – includes hatchets
Etiquette – Ranges from honorifics, table manners, dancing, etc
Rhetoric – May include oration, debate or treatise
Bluff – Includes both lying and making convincing omissions
Intimidation – Inducing both fear and hesitation
Charm – Including seduction and diplomacy
Battlefield Triage – first aid/priority
Poisons – and their antidotes
Disease – and its cures
Human Anatomy – for advanced surgery/knowledge
Smithing – metal
Crafting – (choose) Tailoring, leatherworking, stitch, etc
Barter – Appraise/Haggle
Navigation – includes astronomy
Artistry – music, dance, performance, writing
Alertness – spot danger
Judge Opponent – size up opponent
Attention – to details
Literacy (read/write)– each rank is literacy in one language. Speaking is not the same as literacy.
Linguistics (speak) – one language per rank. Everyone starts with two spoken languages.
